Today we are going to Muse about the irony of signs. If this is your first visit, welcome to Musings. If you have been here before, welcome back. Over time we are going to talk about many things: the past, the present, perhaps the future, travel, art, society and more. Wherever my musing takes me. I hope you will come along with me.
This is the way to Tribbyarts Boutique. Click on the lion and you will go there.

The Week that was
I am exhausted. This was a very active week and I am now just getting around to my Musing.
Sunday Jeanette and I volunteered to be instructors at the Young Members Croquet outing at the Beach Club. This was a social gathering in which the members were introduced to croquet. It was great fun actually.
Tuesday I participated in the weekly Ruth Brown Croquet play at the National Croquet Center.
After the games I met with the new Membership committee for the club and after some arm twisting I agreed to serve as its chairman. Hmm!
Wednesday I met with the “Art Committee” at the Beach Club (I am the Chairman) and we reviewed the works the members had submitted for the club Art Show which was to open the following day.
Thursday I met with the helpers at the Beach Club and together we set up the Art Show throughout the club. That evening we attended the reception, followed by a group dinner.
Friday, Valentines Day, we played in the Fusz Cup, at the Beach Club. We played six 20 minute games of Golf Croquet. I think we won four and lost two. It is all a blur. After the games most of us adjourned to the Beach Club for a group dinner.
Saturday and Sunday Jeanette and I played in the National Croquet Club six wicket singles tournament. My first match was at 8AM. I played 8:00, 9:30, 11:00 and 12:30. That was six hours straight on me feet in the sun. After the play Saturday I had a couple of Bloody Marys and went home and collapsed.
Sunday my first match was again at 8 AM. I lost. That was OK. For the next two play-off matches I kept the Deadness Board for the players. Afterwards we had lunch, a couple of gin and tonics and I went home and collapsed.
So all of this is my way of telling you I have not given much thought to my Musing this week.
Signs of the Times
Last week I wrote about strange translations and the funny signs that result. A friend sent me the following ironic photos. I think they are fun. I hope you do too.
