Corona Virus update

Today we are going to Muse about our daily routine.   If this is your first visit, welcome to Musings. If you have been here before, welcome back. Over time we are going to talk about many things: the past, the present, perhaps the future, travel, art, society and more. Wherever my musing takes me. I hope you will come along with me.

I hope you are having an acceptable day.

Here it is warm and somewhat hazy. We are supposed to set some heat records for this time of year.

Hazy Day

This is the seventh week we have been sheltering in place, staying at home. We pretty much have our routine set.

Teddy, our Norfolk Terrier, is my alarm. He wakes me each morning around 7AM. I toddle off to the shower, after which I dress, make coffee and take Teddy for a walk. I wear a mask and keep away from anyone I encounter. Back at the house, I feed Teddy and then read the newspaper, poor thin thing that it is. Most days my wife joins me at this time. That starts the day.

What comes next depends. I’ve reacquainted myself with the vacuum cleaner, something I have not done since the 80’s. I’ve also discovered some of the “new” toilet cleaning products. It makes me appreciate the lady who used to come once a week and do these things.

For diversion, I have taught Jeanette how to play Canasta. We have played dominos. My next project is to teach her cribbage. And, of course, there is television. We watch a lot of television.

Dominos and cards

For exercise we walk along the intracoastal waterway and use our pool.

Fortunately I have my studio and I’ve spent some time with watercolors. This is a view by our pool.

El Niño

This is my window to the world.

New Project

Final observation

The doctors and experts tell us among other things we should not touch our face.

” Don’t touch your nose. Don’t touch your eyes”.

Now my nose itches all the time! HMMMM!

Be well.

more to come
